Do you ever take a break from working out and then you feel like COMPLETELY guilty and then just like, yucky!? Well, that's the way I felt after taking a two week break to fly out to San Antonio to see my hubby. Believe me, the yucky feeling was totally worth it to be able to see his face again!! I totally planned on working out while I was away too, but it just never happened. Oh well I guess!! I was also eating out at basically every meal, so I was just like, bleh.... but I came home, weighed myself, and actually LOST a pound after being completely sure that I had gained weight on the trip.
But, this morning 5am, I got back at it and started the Insanity program over. I lost track of where I was in it, and I just needed to regroup and get back to it, so I just started with a fresh start! It was great to know that I already accomplished something good by 5:45 in the morning! Now, I feel pumped, like I want to go take the boys for a nice long walk and get all of my pending work done! That's another thing, I have TONS of work that I left unfinished before leaving for Texas. Now, I need to get back to everything and get everything done so no one is waiting around too much longer! Today is all about focus and regrouping, and getting back into the groove!
Oh, I did not reach my goal of being under 200 to see my husband, but I DID get into Miss Me Jeans, and that was basically the same excitement. Last time I tried on the largest size they offer, they only got up to my thighs, this time they pulled all the way up, and buttoned with no issues! So, I bought them.
My next goal? Being at least 190 or under by the time I go see my husband again, maybe beginning of July... can I do it?? I'm sure going to try!

OoOoOhHhHh
Since as soon I was able to after having Tanner, I knew that I wanted to loose weight again but just couldn't seem to get past the 209 mark. I've learned that my body seems to love this number after having babies, because that was my starting weight when I had Carter too! I don't like that my body is comfortable at that number, so I guess I was kind of like "wishing" that my weight would come off. I mean, I would say that my diet was ok, it wasn't SUPER healthy, but it wasn't HORRIBLE either. But I was looking at something through Pinterest recently that caught my eye on small tips on how to loose weight. Things that really are common sense, but it was in a list, and maybe seeing all of those little tips that we all have heard as one offs together on one list, I think it kind of motivated me to be like, "OH THESE are the things that I need to do!" So, along with the new Insanity workout, I decided that these little tips will help assist with my new journey.
If you're interested in seeing this list, check out this pin: http://pinterest.com/pin/89579480057961217/. I love pinterest for health tips - mostly because they are backed by super hot abtastic women, and it just makes it all the more inspiring!
Well, after day 1 of my lifestyle change, cleanse and exercise regimen, I stepped on the scale and - I'm not sure how this happens, but I lost 3lbs - and it put me at the lowest weight that I've been since having Tanner! woop! That just motivated me even more to get at it this morning, so I popped in that Insanity DVD and worked hard. I have to say that I've never done a workout that makes me POUR sweat until now. I mean, seriously dripping on the floor sweaty to where I needed to get a towel to dab my face. It was umm... "Insane". LoL pardon the pun, I had to do it!
I'm really excited to see where the next two weeks lands me - hopefully my clothes fit by the time I get to Texas, well, we have a day before we see Anthony to just hang out, maybe I'll need to do a little shopping ;D

Let the Insanity Begin!
Today is the day that I decided to start the Insanity program! Today was the fit test, which was pretty difficult in it's own right, but was made even more difficult in planking positions due to my very slippery floor... *Note to self: Get a workout mat!! LoL
Otherwise, I think that I did pretty well. I did have difficulty with some of the jumping exercises, but it's not going to be easy to get 200lbs up in the air, so I'm not discouraged. When I get some of the weight off, and build some more muscle, it will get easier! Not making excuses, but I'm pretty sure it's the truth... The point is is that I kept going and kept trying. There was only one time that I had to hit the pause button for a little extra break.
I decided to try Insanity because so many people that I know have tried it and have loved it, seen major results and have recommended it. I still prefer to workout in the gym because when I'm at the gym, I feel like a powerhouse!! But, when I'm at home, I just feel like dancing around my living room like a fool! But, given the circumstances {those being that new baby Tanner isn't old enough to go to the gym daycare yet, and I have to depend on a babysitter to get myself into the gym}, working out at home is the best option! I also really like that I can wake up at 5am and get right to it! That's right - no more Carter coming in to wake my lazy butt up! LET'S DO THIS!!
I'm really motivated right now because in LESS than 2 weeks now, I get to see my HUSBAND who graduates from Air Force Basic Military Training!! EEK I cannot wait. I want to look at least somewhat good and toned for him, as I actually told him that I would really push myself for the full eight weeks he was gone - woops! He doesn't come home until the end of September, so that's 4 months away. Can I do it!? It may not be realistic to get to my goal weight, but I can definitely try to get down and tone up!
I'm also doing Jillian Michael's JumpStart 14-Day Cleanse & Burn starting today, and I've heard really great things about that helping to get the junk out of your body! I'm excited to see how it might help! Also, I got some protein powder and plan on making a shake for my dinners for the next two weeks {until I see Anthony and can go out to dinner for that weekend}! Luckily, since I've had the gastric bypass surgery, shakes fill me up BIG TIME and can usually not even finish a 12oz glass, so I'm thinking this is going to work out great!
Now, off to breakfast with my Father-in-Law! Making a good choice: Egg Whites, Turkey Bacon and a 1/2 English Muffin!
Oh, I made this photo to hang on my fridge and hopefully keep me motivated! I CAN get here!

Rachael in the Newspaper!
If you live in this darling little small town of mine, you may know a girl named Rachael who has recently - in my opinion - made a great impression on our town! She owns one of Lompoc's most fashionable boutiques, Clutch (in which I sometimes like to indulge in after a trip to American Host every now and then), but she also is a hair stylist at one of Lompoc's most adorably cute salons! (By the way, she did my hair once, and I LoVeD it!!)
Anywho, my rant and rave about Miss Rachael all boils down to the fact that in today's Lompoc Record, she wrote an article regarding her recent weight loss of 80lbs - done with not surgery, but plain hard work, diet and exercise. I just had to shout out to Rachael because 3 months into this diet of mine and I'm struggling to loose as much weight as I wanted as I don't exactly have the best dedication to my diet in the whole world... Rachael is really sticking to her guns. I like her attitude of not being motivated by the number on the scale - but being motivated by others who are inspired by her. I can definitely say that I am inspired by this girl - not only in the weight loss department, but because of her entrepreneurship and dedication to making our city a little better. Thank you so much Rachael for everything that you do - you truly are a big inspiration!

Woopity Woo
SoOoOoOo went to the trainer today to get measured - and well, things looked good! She recorded my weight at 197 (at the end of the day with clothes on, might I add)! Also, I've lost about 5" all over my body - my waist was probably the most extreme this time around because I lost 1.5" there. But I lost a good amount in both my hips and thighs too (and some in my bust... laaame).
Anywho, I'm pretty happy about the results and it helps motivate me to keep going.
Oh! Also I did Yoga for the first time in a LOOOOONNNNNGGGG time and it was okay... I remember it being a little more relaxing before - this time the instructor was walking around and talking - which was okay and all - just different then what I expected :)

Measure Up!
So tonight, we will have another trainer meeting and we're getting MEASURED!! AHHH. I don't know how I'm doing - I checked the scale this morning and I'm at 199.4, and things are getting too big for me now, or fitting me again :) I tried on a size 10 pair of work pants that I haven't fit into since I was like 2 months preggers and now they fit with room... size 10 jeans... not so much :P
Anywho, in the spirit of getting measured tonight, I figured that I should PROBABLY post some pics of me "before". It's a little late, but better that I start now than not at all... right?? I'll let you know how I'm doing in my measurements later tonight or tomorrow!

Girl Scouts. Cute Little Angels or....
WHY!!!!!!!
Ok, so I was going over to WalMart today to pick up some things for Carter's 1st Birthday Party today, and low and behold... there they are. GIRL SCOUTS. Sure, they look like cute little angels with their little sashes and badges and their little hats... but then they ask you the question. You know what question I'm talking about. The one no human can turn down ESPECIALLY when you know they only come around one time a year - "Do you want to buy some Girl Scout cookies?"
So, I cracked. I bought ONE box of Tagalongs. Those chocolately, peanut buttery, cookie crunch ones that taste AMAZING when frozen... yeah those. So I ate two, dumped (gastic bypass side effect) and stopped. Then I gave one to Carter for a snack - he didn't finish it but with every bite he was like "MMMMM".
All in all, I guess it's ok to cheat every now and then. As far as I know I'm still under 200, and I took some pictures this morning and was happy with how they looked. YAY!
