OoOoOhHhHh

Since as soon I was able to after having Tanner, I knew that I wanted to loose weight again but just couldn't seem to get past the 209 mark. I've learned that my body seems to love this number after having babies, because that was my starting weight when I had Carter too! I don't like that my body is comfortable at that number, so I guess I was kind of like "wishing" that my weight would come off. I mean, I would say that my diet was ok, it wasn't SUPER healthy, but it wasn't HORRIBLE either. But I was looking at something through Pinterest recently that caught my eye on small tips on how to loose weight. Things that really are common sense, but it was in a list, and maybe seeing all of those little tips that we all have heard as one offs together on one list, I think it kind of motivated me to be like, "OH THESE are the things that I need to do!" So, along with the new Insanity workout, I decided that these little tips will help assist with my new journey.

If you're interested in seeing this list, check out this pin: http://pinterest.com/pin/89579480057961217/. I love pinterest for health tips - mostly because they are backed by super hot abtastic women, and it just makes it all the more inspiring!

Well, after day 1 of my lifestyle change, cleanse and exercise regimen, I stepped on the scale and - I'm not sure how this happens, but I lost 3lbs - and it put me at the lowest weight that I've been since having Tanner! woop! That just motivated me even more to get at it this morning, so I popped in that Insanity DVD and worked hard. I have to say that I've never done a workout that makes me POUR sweat until now. I mean, seriously dripping on the floor sweaty to where I needed to get a towel to dab my face. It was umm... "Insane". LoL pardon the pun, I had to do it!

I'm really excited to see where the next two weeks lands me - hopefully my clothes fit by the time I get to Texas, well, we have a day before we see Anthony to just hang out, maybe I'll need to do a little shopping ;D

Let the Insanity Begin!

Today is the day that I decided to start the Insanity program! Today was the fit test, which was pretty difficult in it's own right, but was made even more difficult in planking positions due to my very slippery floor... *Note to self: Get a workout mat!! LoL

Otherwise, I think that I did pretty well. I did have difficulty with some of the jumping exercises, but it's not going to be easy to get 200lbs up in the air, so I'm not discouraged. When I get some of the weight off, and build some more muscle, it will get easier! Not making excuses, but I'm pretty sure it's the truth... The point is is that I kept going and kept trying. There was only one time that I had to hit the pause button for a little extra break.

I decided to try Insanity because so many people that I know have tried it and have loved it, seen major results and have recommended it. I still prefer to workout in the gym because when I'm at the gym, I feel like a powerhouse!! But, when I'm at home, I just feel like dancing around my living room like a fool! But, given the circumstances {those being that new baby Tanner isn't old enough to go to the gym daycare yet, and I have to depend on a babysitter to get myself into the gym}, working out at home is the best option! I also really like that I can wake up at 5am and get right to it! That's right - no more Carter coming in to wake my lazy butt up! LET'S DO THIS!!

I'm really motivated right now because in LESS than 2 weeks now, I get to see my HUSBAND who graduates from Air Force Basic Military Training!! EEK I cannot wait. I want to look at least somewhat good and toned for him, as I actually told him that I would really push myself for the full eight weeks he was gone - woops! He doesn't come home until the end of September, so that's 4 months away. Can I do it!? It may not be realistic to get to my goal weight, but I can definitely try to get down and tone up!

I'm also doing Jillian Michael's JumpStart 14-Day Cleanse & Burn starting today, and I've heard really great things about that helping to get the junk out of your body! I'm excited to see how it might help! Also, I got some protein powder and plan on making a shake for my dinners for the next two weeks {until I see Anthony and can go out to dinner for that weekend}! Luckily, since I've had the gastric bypass surgery, shakes fill me up BIG TIME and can usually not even finish a 12oz glass, so I'm thinking this is going to work out great!

Now, off to breakfast with my Father-in-Law! Making a good choice: Egg Whites, Turkey Bacon and a 1/2 English Muffin!

Oh, I made this photo to hang on my fridge and hopefully keep me motivated! I CAN get here!
