Holy Heck!

Ok, so my plan to eat actual meals for dinner recently fell right in line of - dun dun dun: PERIOD WEEK. So... no weight loss at all for the entire week. In fact, I had gained two pounds back - so frustrating when all you want to see is that number go down. But Sunday kicked off another week of my fabulous green smoothie diet - the period is gone and well, I'm down to another pound closer to pre-pregnancy #1 weight only 2 more to go and I'm there. Maybe I'll actually make it PAST 190 for when hubby comes home (I'm 192 today, hubby comes home in 9 days!) I am such a firm believer that your period totally bloats you. I felt really pudgy and "soft" but last night before bed I took a look in the mirror and was like, "geez, I can't believe how much thinner I feel in like only a couple of weeks!" It really is insane. I feel like if I keep this up, I'll be to my goal in no time :)

I have decided this morning to convert my diet to a fully soft foods diet for the next 9 days until hubby comes home. This means, protein shake for breakfast, cottage cheese and fruit, or greek yogurt and egg whites for lunch and a green protein shake for dinner - OH and water water water! It's going to be a challenge, but I feel like I'm up to it. Seeing the number go down on the scale really has me motivated and so do my tight fitting jeans! I want to wear them to pick Anthony up!! LoL

What I'm Doing To Lose Weight Right Now!

Hello everyone!

I'm getting sooo many inquiries on how I lost 8lbs in only 5 days! Thank you all for your support and motivation to keep me going. My main motivation is my husband coming home on the 27th of this month, and my best friend's wedding in mid-October, but believe me, all of the amazement and compliments are really helping! I wanted to share with you my day-to-day. *Read if you have time, this is going to be long.*

6am - Wake up and do a light exercise that I just find from the internet (something that will just get me awake and moving

6:30am - Cup of coffee with some Italian Sweet Cream creamer

8:00am - Breakfast: 1/2 Grapefruit, 2 Hardboiled Eggs, Vanilla Almond Granola with Fruit in Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk, Egg Whites and Turkey Bacon
             - Drink 8oz of Water
             - Take my Daily Supplements (I take Centrum, Iron and Sublingual B-12)

10:00am - Drink 8oz of Water

11:00am - Put boys down for a nap and do this workout. Right now, I'm only doing 1 circuit as opposed to the suggested 2-3, not only because I feel that I need to move slowly to get myself back in shape, but because I need to do other things while the boys nap!! lol.

             - Walk with the boys (my route is about 2.2mi)

4:00pm - Drink 8oz of Water

5:00pm - Dinner: Green Smoothie - Believe me, you will LoVe this. YES it's green - NO you can't taste the spinach AT ALL! There are so many variations of the green smoothie, but I'm sticking to one this week mainly because of my budget for grocery shopping... plus it's working, so why fix/change something that's not broken!? OH! By the way, I plan on only doing this smoothie for a week (I'll be finishing up the week on the 8th) then I'll be eating healthy dinners for a week, then go back to the smoothies, etc. I get a lot of recipes from this girl's blog: http://undressedskeleton.tumblr.com/

*ReCiPe*
2cups Spinach
1cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1/2cup Plain Greek Yogurt
1 Frozen Banana
1Tbsp Reduced Fat Peanut Butter
1 Scoop Vanilla Whey Protein
Stick in a blender and mix that bad boy up until all smooth and a nice happy shade of healthy greenness!

Drink up! It's a filling shake - I personally can't ever finish the whole thing because I get so full, so you should be good with being able to replace a whole meal with it!! If not, my suggestion would be to fill up on other healthy snacks - maybe baby carrots, a baked sweet potato with cinnamon sprinkled in it... there are so many ideas that I've found right here off the good ol' internet!

6:00pm - Drink 8oz of Water

9:00pm - Sometimes I end up drinking a nice glass of wine and just relax...

10:00pm - Bedtime!! I haven't done amazing with going to bed by this time, but a few nights I have. I am trying to get at least 8hrs.

Hope this helps everyone! It's really doing good things for me and I hope it will for you too! I'm so excited for my hubby to be coming home and I want to look AmAzInG for him! I have 2 more lbs to loose before getting to the weight I was right before I got pregnant with Carter, I fit into my size 9 jeans, and I feel so good and energetic! Definitely worth the changes that I've made!

xoxo
Jenny

PS: These pics were taken of me on 9/5. I was wearing my size 9 pre-pregnancy jeans that I haven't been able to wear in over 3 years! I COULD NOT get them to button prior to this diet. It's amazing what 8lbs can do! Can't wait to be down another 8 lol! I still have 58lbs to get to my ultimate goal.

Struggles

Well, call me lazy, but even though I've been setting my alarm clock for 5am to wake up and do Insanity, I'm not being motivated enough to actually get up and workout. I just go to sleep so late {working on design stuff to catch up} and sometimes it's 2am before I get into bed. 5am seems like the only comfortable time to workout because the boys aren't awake yet and it's cool outside. I have been trying get a workout in while they are awake, but the baby makes it especially difficult due to him not liking to be in one spot for an extended amount of time. So, while I may have started a workout every day, I haven't gotten through one in the past week! So, I'm definitely not doing very well {in my opinion}.

I feel really bad because I should be motivated because not only do I want to look awesome and fit for my hubby in September when he comes home, I am going to Las Vegas in August and I have my best friend's wedding in October! I just wish these things could be motivation enough for me to be like, "Ok I'm going to bed!" at 9pm and then have myself easily up by 5am. But, the thought of my long work order list getting even more crazy than it already is cringes me, and my motivation to get things done on my list is clearly my strongest motivator right now. I want to only be working on my graphic design part-time, but with how many projects I have, and people needing them fairly quickly, I feel like I just need to work in every ounce of free time that I have. It's definitely struggling me.

On a good note, I think due to eating healthier this week, foods jammed packed with power foods such as black beans, sweet potatoes, avocado, lots of veggies and more vegetarian options, including almond milk, I have lost another pound! 203 makes me the lightest I've been since having Tanner<3 Only 3 more pounds and I'll be out of these miserable 200s!! 3 seems to be such a light number - I feel like I could workout for a day and loose that! Time to get re-situated and get motivated again. Encouragement is well... encouraged! Thanks everyone!

2 Weeks Off = BLEH

Do you ever take a break from working out and then you feel like COMPLETELY guilty and then just like, yucky!? Well, that's the way I felt after taking a two week break to fly out to San Antonio to see my hubby. Believe me, the yucky feeling was totally worth it to be able to see his face again!! I totally planned on working out while I was away too, but it just never happened. Oh well I guess!! I was also eating out at basically every meal, so I was just like, bleh.... but I came home, weighed myself, and actually LOST a pound after being completely sure that I had gained weight on the trip.

But, this morning 5am, I got back at it and started the Insanity program over. I lost track of where I was in it, and I just needed to regroup and get back to it, so I just started with a fresh start! It was great to know that I already accomplished something good by 5:45 in the morning! Now, I feel pumped, like I want to go take the boys for a nice long walk and get all of my pending work done! That's another thing, I have TONS of work that I left unfinished before leaving for Texas. Now, I need to get back to everything and get everything done so no one is waiting around too much longer! Today is all about focus and regrouping, and getting back into the groove!

Oh, I did not reach my goal of being under 200 to see my husband, but I DID get into Miss Me Jeans, and that was basically the same excitement. Last time I tried on the largest size they offer, they only got up to my thighs, this time they pulled all the way up, and buttoned with no issues! So, I bought them.

My next goal? Being at least 190 or under by the time I go see my husband again, maybe beginning of July... can I do it?? I'm sure going to try!

OoOoOhHhHh

Since as soon I was able to after having Tanner, I knew that I wanted to loose weight again but just couldn't seem to get past the 209 mark. I've learned that my body seems to love this number after having babies, because that was my starting weight when I had Carter too! I don't like that my body is comfortable at that number, so I guess I was kind of like "wishing" that my weight would come off. I mean, I would say that my diet was ok, it wasn't SUPER healthy, but it wasn't HORRIBLE either. But I was looking at something through Pinterest recently that caught my eye on small tips on how to loose weight. Things that really are common sense, but it was in a list, and maybe seeing all of those little tips that we all have heard as one offs together on one list, I think it kind of motivated me to be like, "OH THESE are the things that I need to do!" So, along with the new Insanity workout, I decided that these little tips will help assist with my new journey.

If you're interested in seeing this list, check out this pin: http://pinterest.com/pin/89579480057961217/. I love pinterest for health tips - mostly because they are backed by super hot abtastic women, and it just makes it all the more inspiring!

Well, after day 1 of my lifestyle change, cleanse and exercise regimen, I stepped on the scale and - I'm not sure how this happens, but I lost 3lbs - and it put me at the lowest weight that I've been since having Tanner! woop! That just motivated me even more to get at it this morning, so I popped in that Insanity DVD and worked hard. I have to say that I've never done a workout that makes me POUR sweat until now. I mean, seriously dripping on the floor sweaty to where I needed to get a towel to dab my face. It was umm... "Insane". LoL pardon the pun, I had to do it!

I'm really excited to see where the next two weeks lands me - hopefully my clothes fit by the time I get to Texas, well, we have a day before we see Anthony to just hang out, maybe I'll need to do a little shopping ;D

Let the Insanity Begin!

Today is the day that I decided to start the Insanity program! Today was the fit test, which was pretty difficult in it's own right, but was made even more difficult in planking positions due to my very slippery floor... *Note to self: Get a workout mat!! LoL

Otherwise, I think that I did pretty well. I did have difficulty with some of the jumping exercises, but it's not going to be easy to get 200lbs up in the air, so I'm not discouraged. When I get some of the weight off, and build some more muscle, it will get easier! Not making excuses, but I'm pretty sure it's the truth... The point is is that I kept going and kept trying. There was only one time that I had to hit the pause button for a little extra break.

I decided to try Insanity because so many people that I know have tried it and have loved it, seen major results and have recommended it. I still prefer to workout in the gym because when I'm at the gym, I feel like a powerhouse!! But, when I'm at home, I just feel like dancing around my living room like a fool! But, given the circumstances {those being that new baby Tanner isn't old enough to go to the gym daycare yet, and I have to depend on a babysitter to get myself into the gym}, working out at home is the best option! I also really like that I can wake up at 5am and get right to it! That's right - no more Carter coming in to wake my lazy butt up! LET'S DO THIS!!

I'm really motivated right now because in LESS than 2 weeks now, I get to see my HUSBAND who graduates from Air Force Basic Military Training!! EEK I cannot wait. I want to look at least somewhat good and toned for him, as I actually told him that I would really push myself for the full eight weeks he was gone - woops! He doesn't come home until the end of September, so that's 4 months away. Can I do it!? It may not be realistic to get to my goal weight, but I can definitely try to get down and tone up!

I'm also doing Jillian Michael's JumpStart 14-Day Cleanse & Burn starting today, and I've heard really great things about that helping to get the junk out of your body! I'm excited to see how it might help! Also, I got some protein powder and plan on making a shake for my dinners for the next two weeks {until I see Anthony and can go out to dinner for that weekend}! Luckily, since I've had the gastric bypass surgery, shakes fill me up BIG TIME and can usually not even finish a 12oz glass, so I'm thinking this is going to work out great!

Now, off to breakfast with my Father-in-Law! Making a good choice: Egg Whites, Turkey Bacon and a 1/2 English Muffin!

Oh, I made this photo to hang on my fridge and hopefully keep me motivated! I CAN get here!
